Day Forty-One

Don't you just love lazy Sundays?  This is what we looked like for most the day....
And it's a rare occurrence to actually see the "person behind the camera" in front - believe me it won't happen often.  You should feel lucky.

  1. Adorable shot! And, so glad to see you! Did you use the timer? A tripod? How did you do it. I've been thinking we should add "self portrait" to our to-do list.

  2. Thanks Katie -
Yes, did both those things. (It took a few tries having a 4 year old on the top of the pile and pushing the button - you can imagine!) I think the tripod is my most underutilized piece of equipment I have. But whenever I take the time to pull it out - it's well worth it.
As for self-portrait think it's a great idea. I found a list of 30 different "subjects" for 30 days that I think we could try and self-portrait was one of them. Again, might be hard to do for 30 days straight but maybe we post the list and check of as we go? I'll send you the link.

  3. i like the idea. send me the 30 day list and we can take a look. ive see several different versions of those 30 day lists....some i liked better than others, so maybe we can look for a few and decide which one we like best. i dont own a tripod, but always think i want one but i never commit because im not sure how often it would get used. hmmmm. and what about flashes. do you use them?

About Me

My photo
Grad Student. Wife. Mom. An artist, yogi, photographer, graphic designer, former teacher and expat...photography has been part of my life since I can remember. I love the sound of a shutter clicking, travel, lotus flowers, inversions, backyards, an ice cold G&T, a great pair of shoes, and an inspiring read....just to name a few. I truly believe Ewan MacGregor could be my best friend and I was a dancer in my past life....or at least should have been. (And no, I can't dance.) LIFE IS GOOD.
